Description
AFWall+ APK serves as an intuitive graphical interface for Linux's powerful iptables firewall system.
Available directly on ApkMod, AFWall+ is a free, open-source firewall utility for Android devices. It hands you total control over how and when specific applications access the Internet. While Android users can also find it on Google Play, launching AFWall+ for the very first time requires granting Superuser (root) privileges. Without root permissions enabled, the firewall cannot operate.
Network-enabled apps appear with their respective icons on the left side and titles on the right, accompanied by clear column checkboxes in between. Out of the box, the interface lists Wi-Fi, LAN, and cellular data interfaces, letting you effortlessly decide which networks each individual app is allowed to use.
Setting up AFWall+ is straightforward. Simply tap the three-dot menu button located at the top-right corner of your display, then choose Preferences from the dropdown list.
The sorting options let you organize apps into system, user-installed, and core groups. You can also turn on the Show app UID feature to inspect internal process IDs. Meanwhile, checking the "Confirm AFWall+ to disable" setting ensures a warning prompt appears whenever firewall protection is being turned off.
